Additional Content

Age 2-3 years old Preservation partial skeleton (for details see Oakley et al. 1971: 168) Dating The skeleton was found in a pit dug into the lowest level (Bed I) of the deposits, probably from Bed V (Bordes & Lafille 1962). Based on pollen analysis and the faunal remains, Vandermeersch (1965) suggested a late Würm I/II or early Würm II age for Bed V. Turq (1979) reviewed the available evidence and concluded that a date within (or even toward the end of) Würm II was more likely.
